I was hesitant to order this, because I had never heard of Blu and there weren’t any reviews either here or elsewhere. But the price was right, so I thought I would give it a go. I was very pleased with what I got. The phone works fine. I don’t think that it seems badly put together. It’s small and lightweight, but that’s a good thing. It’s low on features, but it does the job if all you want is a no-frills, basic phone. I recommend it for two types of user: (1) For people like me who want an inexpensive second phone for international roaming; (2) for anyone who wants a very inexpensive unlocked phone for domestic uprepaid use and who doesn’t need features. Blu emphasizes music in marketing this device. I haven’t used it for that and I suspect that most people who buy it won’t have that in mind. Caveat: I’ve only had it a short while and have taken it on one trip, so I can’t comment on how it stands up over time.

If all you need is a simple cell phone while traveling abroad, this one will do just fine. Call quality is generally good, and the battery life is also fine.

If all you want to do is make/receive calls, you’ll do just fine with this phone. (As for the radio function, the radio sounded fine using the included earbuds. I left the radio on after charging the battery, and it took about 2-1/2 days for the battery to die.)

Neither that young man nor his mum (me) have a finger on the telecoms/electronics pulse – said young Scot has a 7-year old bashed and bruised mobile (sorry, cell) phone. This old cell phone is dual-band and as everyone (except us) knows, that will not work in the US. Mum goes to Amazon and buys this unlocked cell to allow son to use pre-paid US Sim and keep in touch – Amazon ship it without delay to the camp – his verdict – excellent cell-phone, works like a dream. If you need a basic reliable cell-phone and don’t want to shell out a fortune – here’s the answer. It occurs that it would probably be a good bet for a youngster geting a first cell-phone.

Samsung S7330 3mp

The latest incarnation-Samsung S7330 – packs in stylish exterior,well-rounded feature set and a moderate price tag.And what sounds like a good recipe already is spiced up by the yet exotic touchpad. No news so far,but knowing what to suppose may actually turn hard on the S7330.Users will feel entitled to more than passable performance,so let’s see if it delivers.The S7330 may as well be remarkable for marking a shift in the Samsung naming patterns.It is the 1ST model by the manufacturer with a four-digit model designation.Samsung S7330 measures 104.8 x 49.4 x 13.9 mm,.The weight of 110g may be on the heavier side for a feature phone but the S7330 has a solid feel and comfortable handling.The better part of the front panel is taken by the 2.2″ display and the touch-sensitive control pad. On either side on the touchpad there are two rocker-styled regular press keys: soft keys on top, Call and End keys beneath. Above the display we find a video-call camera and the earpiece.The Samsung S7330 build quality is more than decent. The metal battery cover is the only particular material on the casing; all the other constituents are made of plastic. It evidently lacks a lot of Soul sophistication but that’s duly reflected in the price.The brushed graphite casing is rather solid and the slider action is smooth and steady. Our only grudge here is that when sliding up and down you can’t aid but put a thumb on the screen. With the touchpad beneath you danger launching an unneeded menu when all you want to do is slide up.Samsung S7330 packs a 2.2″ 262K-color display of QVGA resolution.The keys that are revealed, once you slide the phone open, might seem big enough.Making calls with Samsung S7330 Soul is in general trouble-free.Voice quality is good sufficient on both ends of the line and we had no trouble with the handset at all.Samsung S7330 is trimmed down in terms of imaging, but the trade-off is quad-band network support.The S7330 was only very not long back freed and price has nowhere to go but down.

Then: YOU MUST CONSIDER Samsung C3222!!

Beside all I mention there is more:

There are nice features like alarms, calendar, Worldclock, calculator, Timer, FM Radio, Picture editor, File Explorer, QWERTY Keyboard, microSD memory expansion [up to 8GB], MicroUSB port, excellent battery life, Dedicated “Switch SIMcard” button, Bluetooth and Camera.

The bad news are:

- Its plastic body and keyboard feels cheap. [Not a big deal for the price]
- Keyboard buttons are kind of small. [Not a big deal if you have small fingers!]
- Screen and Camera arent that good looking. [Not a big deal for the price]
- One of the SIMcard does not work if you are using one of the lines [Ex: Both SIMcards are active at the same time BUT... If you are using SIM1 on a call then SIM2 becomes INACTIVE till you finish the call on SIM1] When you finish the call then both SIMcards becomes active ‘ .
- GPRS Connection??? Samsung, are you kidding me??? What a crap… The only downside REAALYYYY SLOOOOOOWWWWWWW!

People MUST understand that this is NOT a smartphone, stop complaining if it doesnt have 3G, capacitive touchscreen or iOS/Android!!!

This phone is for making life simple on people who uses 2 SIMcards.

Note: You can consider MOTOROLA EX115 which looks more professional and is a little bit bigger BUT I really hate motorola’s MENU and the battery life is way shorter than this Samsung C3222.

Note2: Be careful with chinesse DualSIM phones ’cause I read that it can affect your brain more than other phones ’cause they dont control radiation [SAR] that much…

Hope I help you with the decition!

We were interested in the dual SIM feature because he is required to be in his school’s telephone network in order to get group texts, but we wanted a more affordable phone plan for everyday calls. He says he is happy with it, and the voice quality seems to be fine. He even left the instruction sheet at home but didn’t miss it, as most functions work pretty intuitively. It is easy to switch between the two SIM cards.

Wall
I received this unlocked phone from MobileCityOnline.com (via Amazon) in the last week or two. I’ve spent hours of time with tech support with Motorola trying to work out the kinks. Let’s start by saying it’s a very cool smartphone with tons of features. BUT – the caveat is that many would have only worked if I’d lived overseas.

First, the charger that came in the package is non-compatible with U.S. outlets, and so I purchased (at very low cost) another charger to get the phone working.

Then, although my manual was in English, the phone itself (menus, etc) were all in Chinese, presumably because it came from Hong Kong and was geared toward that area. Hence the first call to tech support.

After working through converting the language to English (I’d needed help navigating the menu’s since they were all Chinese), I tried to do simple things like buy new ringtones and wallpaper.

Come to find out, no dice. These are not able to be downloaded in Atlanta (or U.S. period, apparently). Motorola tech support reported that they could not help as the phone model is not supported in the U.S. I am also unable to access the web.

I’ve spent too many hours with tech support in the short time I’ve owned this phone, and so I need to return it. I have never have needed to contact tech support for help with any other phone, and have never needed to return one.

Please be careful before you spend 259.00 on this model if you live in the U.S.

So, here I am today, spending more time (on a beautiful Saturday afternoon) making YET another call; this time to MobileCityOnline.com to return the phone.

I tried a slide phone (Motorola ZN300) and hated it (the phone was fine, except it was too small and I just don’t like the slide feature). This was one of the few flip phones available.

I got this phone from J&R Music and Computer World. They shipped it out the next day and I got it the day after that, ahead of schedule.

I have a charger that works in the US and the manual is in English. My phone has English, Portugese, French and Spanish. Most everything was set to English.

Two things I had to change via Setup: I use Motorola phone tools. In order for the phone to be recognized, the USB mode must be set to modem (not mass storage). Also, if the keyboard is set to the wrong language, go to Setup, Input setup and select the correct language. Then, power down and start up and the settings will take effect. Once these two things were fixed, everything worked smoothly.

It was easy to personalize. I like the alarm and calendar. The sound is good, both receiving and sending. I don’t use internet, send email or text, so I can’t comment on those options. I haven’t tried the bluetooth, camera or video, yet. I will post after I see how they work. In all, I’m quite pleased.

Branch
Before I fell bonkers in love with my new phone, I got this phone and used it in Iraq, in the states, everywhere! I absolutely loved it and I still own it! I plan on using it on my next deployment. Awesome that it came unlocked, it’s durable, the body is comfortable to hold, the stylus and touch screen are comfortable to use and it’s just a great phone. I wish I could give more specifics, but I can definately say overall it’s a great phone.

Higgins
overall, a pretty good phone, esp for the price (approx $150 w/out contract).

a few important things: doesn’t work w/ ATT 3G, it’s frequencies are only T-mobile’s 3G bands (note, in order for 3G to work, the phone must have a “3G on a particular band” – though ATT and Tmobile’s freq spectrum overlaps, the each have specific 3G bands).

the android operating system isn’t the newest or best, some websites don’t work well – others not at all.

the phone is ONLY wireless (wifi) G… my home network is N, and the phone recognizes it, but can’t join.

it’s a very solid, comfortable to hold phone. Probably the best i’ve ever had (far better than iphones and slippery and/or brick-like droids). The (very slightly) textured rubberized back works great and it’s not cheap feeling at all.

all in all, a solid phone – but not the cutting edge, esp for the price.

**** and it does NOT have a keyboard as some pictures show!

With the preliminaries out of the way, let’s get started:

Overview
——–
This phone comes preinstalled with Motoblur on top of Android 1.5. The two biggest highlights about motoblur are its backup facilities (which until Android 2.0) were mostly unreplicated. With it, you are able to backup a lot of the data on the phone to a cloud-based Motoblur account, remotely wipe the phone, and even track it. Nowadays, such functionality can be requested through a service from TMobile, or added via an application from the Market (or now, Play Store). The other point of Motoblur was to create synergy between your favorite social networking sites and the phone. Contact photos, message streams, etc. are integrated seamlessly with Motoblur. Unfortunately, Motoblur has the side effect of drastically slowing down the phone.

Aside from Motoblur, there weren’t really any standout features about this phone when it was released. Other Motoblur phones (The original Cliq, Cliq 2, Backflip (not TMobile), all had hardware keyboards. While it could be said that the omission of a keyboard is a feature, being that it reduces manufacturing cost, I’d say it crippled the phone.

Rooting
——-
As it isn’t recommended by service providers or manufacturers to root your phone, I won’t be publishing instructions on how to do so here. Rather, this portion of the review is to detail the advantages of rooting this phone, and explain how doing so prevented me from rating this device 1 star.

In addition to allowing me to upgrade Android from version 1.5 to 2.3 (thus making this phone somewhat current), rooting the phone and flashing a custom rom provided the following improvements to the phone:
- Faster: Not only was the processor overclocked to 768MB, but I set up a profile that allows the frequency to be changed on demand in order to save on battery life (Being that I rooted the phone a couple of hours after receiving it — yes, I was that annoyed by the stock image — I can’t comment on original battery life).
- More apps: Because I am running a newer version of Android, more software is compatible with the device, including Netflix.
- No Motoblur: After removing Motoblur, performance on the phone improved dramatically. Before rooting the device, the phone stuttered on screen transitions. Afterward, these transitions are smooth as butter. Note that there are images with Motoblur still in tact, for those of you that liked the interface.

Pros
—–
- Inexpensive: This phone is a couple of years old, so it only ran me a bit over $100.00 used.
- Lightweight: Due to its lack of a hardware keyboard and smaller screen, this phone is really light.
- Hackable: while T-Mobile decided to pull back the Android 2.1 update (originally ran Android 1.5), it’s been out so long that the adventurous (and patient) of you can flash a custom run that runs up to Android 2.3 on it.
- Back Cover: I like the texture of the back cover. It’s kind of got this rubberized plastic feel to it, which makes the phone feel more comfortable in my hand. While it’s probably better to have a case on the phone, I do feel less paranoid about dropping the phone because of this.
- Touchpad: the touchpad is a bit larger than that found on other phones and also has a bit of a textured feel. I like this, because I feel as though as I have a bit more control over scrolling. With the smaller, slicker touchpads, I often find myself over-swiping.

Cons
—–
- Slow: With a 528Mhz processor and 256MB of ram, you can’t be too surprised by this, though. As an aside, I’m beginning to think that it is not worth purchasing any Android device that doesn’t at least have a single core 1Ghz processor and 512MB of ram. A phone with these kinds of specs would be better suited for something like the earlier versions of Symbian. In fact, The stock image with Android 1.5 and Motoblur was slower than the custom rom image with Android 2.3.
- Removing the Back cover: The back cover is nearly impossible to get off. Motorola even had to release an instructional video showing customers how to do this, if that’s any indication.
- SD and Sim card slots; In order to insert either of these, you have to move a thin, fragile piece of plastic out of the way. I’m not certain if these are supposed to be removed or not, but I figure any part of a phone that requires me to look at a manual to determine if the piece belongs on the phone or not couldn’t have been well thought out. If the back cover weren’t so stubborn, I might argue that they serve well to ensure the cards remain in place if the phone is ever dropped.
- Hardware Buttons: Aside from the fact that they aren’t back-lit, they feel a bit stiff. This might prevent accidental presses, but it also seems to produce a bit of fatigue in my thumb (I find myself pressing the menu and back buttons quite often when playing with my phone).

Bottom Line
———–
If you are looking to buy your first Android phone, stay away from this one. If you are looking for a cheap Android phone, still stay away from this one. If you are comfortable with rooting your phone and don’t expect to be using it as a primary device for any extended period of time (say more than a couple of months), then you might be OK. You may also consider this device if you are an Android developer that would like to profile your application on a low-end device without having to bother with the emulator. As for me, this device is functional enough to keep me from pulling out my hair, and I get through those frustrating moments by telling myself, “At least you aren’t stuck with that flip phone and T9 anymore”.

My primary intention was to have Skype application running on my cell phone and when I tried to download it, guess what ?? Android 1.5 doesn’t support skype and there is no intention from Motorola to upgrade to 2.2 or 2.3 So now I have to enter the world of unofficial stuff to make it works or distroy it the new Cell in the process. I found many people with the same problem. Amazing !! and of course dissapointed. If you expect to have Skype on this one. Think it twice or surf the web. Amazon has nothing to do with this. The buying process worked perfectly

Condition: Mines was like new (with covered screens), original box, USB cable, power cable, original CD (there’s and update online), headset and small instruction booklet (does not look original). Mines had no software/hardware issues (no rebooting, no Bluetooth issues, no slowdowns, etc).

The advantages in general of the blackberry’s are the great screen (geared for text readers) and the keyboard.
The bad is the Blackberry “WiFi situation”: they want you to buy the “blackberry internet plan” which is a hookup with your cell phone provider. Cell phone providers will have different names for this plan but note that it will cost you in the US around $15-$20. If you have a prepaid plan they will tell you the plan is not available (unless you have a monthly plan). I don’t recommend this plan (if you can get it) because I consider it a ripoff. That will probably be the biggest issue with this phone (and all blackberry’s).

The workaround: If you want to use Wi-Fi they will use a combination of WiFi and GPRS/EDGE. For example when you try to use the BlackBerry GMail app from Google you will be able to install it halfway but when it tries to connect it will tell you, you need a connection. If you disable your data connection (GPRS/EDGE) you will get the same result and so on and so forth with different applications.

To get around this BlackBerry Wi-Fi situation you have to get applications that are not exactly BlueBerry approved (and you will probably not see in their new store) that allow you to use Wi-Fi ONLY and not a combination Wi-Fi/GRPS/EDGE (again they use EDGE/GPRS to check if you have the BlackBerry Plan if you don’t they don’t give you access). For example for GMail I use LogicMail (uses Wi-Fi only), UberTwitter, Opera Mini, Yahoo Mail (you have to use their website) with the Opera Mini browser because you won’t be able to use it with the BlackBerry browser (these are the only ones I found that I installed).

Final review: Great phone, almost perfect form factor and screen (recommended 7 point font), almost perfect for SMS/MMS/emailing. Wi-Fi, Keyboard is better than a standard number keyboard but NOT better than a full keyboard (of course). If you can deal with the Wi-Fi issue (and sub par and very limited apps compared to the IPhone or even Windows Mobile phone) then this is a GREAT phone!

Dent
I am not going to spend a lot of time listing ‘specs’ because Amazon’s page has them all, well organized and in detail. Instead, I will discuss our experience with the PLAY from a gamer’s point of view because I can’t see anyone but a gamer considering this.

BRIEF ASSESSMENT

The Xperia PLAY attempts to combine an advanced Android phone with a portable gaming platform resembling the PSP or rather the PSP Go hoping that the integrated whole will turn into something more than the sum of its parts but, in my view, what we get is a good, solid gadget that fails to come close to ‘best in class’ in either the smart phone or the portable gaming platform categories. There are many smart phones that outperform it (better, faster, dual-core CPUs) and outfeature (4G, HDMI, DLNA support) the Xperia PLAY and, while it superficially resembles the PSP Go, the PLAY only accepts games specifically converted to work with it, meaning that you’ll have to buy them again and, at least at the time I am writing this review, it can’t access Sony’s PSN store. While you can play Android games, you will need to find ‘PLAY optimized’ titles if you are to take advantage of the PSP-like game pad.

THE GOOD

Again, neither the phone component or the PSP-like transformation are bad, they are quite good and here is what I liked about them:

- Android 2.3. It’s not the latest in Android but I was assured that upgrades are forthcoming.
- Decent battery life. Sure, you can’t play or stay on the phone forever but unless all you do is play and stay on the phone all day one charge per day should be sufficient.
- Good ‘game pad’ integration. You go into ‘game mode’ the moment you pull out the pad.
- Bluetooth, GPS, Wi-Fi available and working well. Also a microUSB port.
- Very nice stereo speakers. They work well with the games and, as a bonus, you get better than decent sound in ‘speaker phone’ mode.
- A couple of very nice preloaded apps: Kindle, Google Maps, YouTube, Skype Mobile,Twitter and Facebook integration.
- 8GB microSD card included but you can replace it with a larger one, of course.
- PSP Go like controls including some innovative implementation of the 2 analog joysticks as touch-pads.
- Lots of preloaded games (I will list them at the bottom of this review)

THE BAD

- Single-core CPU makes it a relatively slow performer as a smart phone.
- Lack of HDMI port and DLNA support makes it a poor multimedia gadget.
- The display is not that bright, probably to conserve battery life.
- The cameras are okay but barely so and the flash is not that bright.
- The touchpads meant to replace the analog joysticks are not always responsive.
- As a phone, it’s a little on the bulky side.
- Not all Android games can be played in the game mode. It’s confusing and it can be frustrating.
- Can’t play PSP or PSOne games unless adapted, meaning that you need to buy them again.

RATING

I am going to give the PLAY 3 stars which means “it’s Okay”. It’s an interesting concept and it works to some degree but someone who wants an Android phone and a serious portable gaming platform may be better off with an actual Android phone and a PSP or a PSP Go. I am giving it 3 stars and not 2 stars because my kid (the one who didn’t have a PSP) decided that it was good enough for him and he’s using it now. Thanks to the large number of preloaded games and to the availability of some PLAY-friendly Android games we didn’t have to buy any old games again yet.

___________________________________________________

These are the game that came preloaded:

* Adrenalin
* Asphalt 6
* Bruce Lee Dragon Warrior
* Crash Bandicot
* Madden NFL 11
* Star Battalion
* Tetris (Android mode only)
* The Sims 3

Martin
I have had my phone for a few days now and I love it. I can work and play on it and the battery holds up. It’s not too bulky and the touchscreen is very responsive. This is my first smartphone and I don’t know how I’v managed without one this long. Sony did a great job with this phone.

It has the distinction of being the only current phone to be blessed by Sony to play certain PlayStation games. Of course, the media and consumers jumped on the assumption – flawed though it was – that this must be an evolution of a PSP. Trust me, it’s far from that. In fact, I would liken it more to the N-Gage, but without cartridges, just so happens to be Sony rather than Nokia.

As a phone, the Xperia Play (XP) has its pluses and minuses. I was actually (unlike certain others) impressed with the general build quality. Apple has gotten people hating plastic, which is unfortunate, because plastic done right can actually result in a solid device (see any of the HTC phones). The build of the XP is a hybrid of plastic and metal, and it feels solid to the touch. The idea that the screen flexes when pressing it is quite ludicrous, and I would submit that the user ended up with a lemon, but I digress. The slider technology makes the phone quite a bit thicker than other candidates in the phone lineup at Verizon, and it is this which may be a turn-off to some shoppers. Anyone who has used a Sidekick will know what I’m talking about, because it’s basically the same thickness. The XP is quite a bit smaller than other phones though, fits in the hand nicely, and has a nice grip. To its detriment, the power button is extremely recessed in the top and difficult to press one-handed. Not impossible, but it was annoying.

Much has been made of the single core-ness of the XP, and I will tell you this: The single core only matters when typing. That’s it. Anything else and the phone is quite fast. It renders web pages and applications faster than even my HTC Thunderbolt which has a faster processor. Typing is where it all breaks down though – the keyboard cannot keep up with the fastest of touch typers. I’m not like the younguns of today in terms of texting or screen typing speed, but I can hold my own as I knock out a business email quickly on the Thunderbolt. Doing the same exercise on the XP was absolutely frustrating, as the accuracy went straight to hell under the same conditions, and in some cases, just didn’t do anything at all as it struggled to catch up with my fingers. It’s a bit ironic – the whole reason I’m even trying this device is because of the horrid nature of touch gaming, and yet, its touch typing is so bad. Regular touch navigation was fine, in fact it felt a bit better and more reliable than other touch screens that I’ve used, and I’ve used a lot. There are certain screens that just “Feel Right” and the XP’s is one of them…just not for typing, unfortunately.

The screen brightness is perfectly fine when in normal lighting conditions. Outside, forget it. It’s not that it isn’t bright enough, it’s that it can’t overpower the natural lighting of the outdoors like some other devices such as any of the Samsung AMOLED screens. The screen is also not polarized, and screen protectors for anti-glare may actually make the effect even worse. It’s true the screen brightness and detail is less so than that of the HTC Thunderbolt or other devices, but again, in normal lighting or darker lighting this isn’t that much of a big deal.

Audio quality was a mixed bag. When gaming, the audio is fine, but when trying to do what the thing was designed to do (be a phone), it falls short. The speaker is of average loudness, but on the other end the quality is terrible…as if you’re speaking through a HAM radio or something. It wasn’t nearly as clear as I expected it to be given what I know of Ericsson phones of years past, and mind you, I was standing in a dead-silent room for the test. I didn’t get a chance to test wind noise, because I was so disappointed with its performance even disregarding wind or other interfering factors.

The phone’s strongest attribute is simply its battery. Even on good brightness with wireless and GPS on, the phone managed to do 3-4 days on standby easily. With regular usage (which in my testing is gaming and email), it still managed to last 1-2 days without needing a charge. Compared to the Thunderbolt which required rooting and a custom ROM to last the duration of a day with GPS off and email only (GPS on results in a loss of 6 hours), I can only imagine that the theory about 4G burning through the battery even when not in active use must be true. Additionally I believe the XP has a larger battery to begin with, because it would take me adding the extended battery to the XP to get to the same or roughly the same thickness. Still, I was readily impressed by the battery performance of the XP. If it weren’t for the touch typing issue, I would switch immediately, but I depend too much on email; so much so that this is an instant deal breaker.

I know people are wondering about the gaming. And I will tell you that gaming is the one area where I believe the Xperia Play has the most issues. It’s not the device’s fault though, rather the games themselves. You see, when you slide out the XP, it will open the game interface. There are a number of games already included with the device, some of which are of basic fun (Bruce Lee). The problem here is that most people will buy the XP thinking that these physical controls should automatically work with every Android game out there; they don’t. In fact, in Verizon Wireless’ V-CAST Apps, they have screened out Android apps that have been specifically configured for the XP. This list is tremendously lower than the full list on the Market. Others may or may not work depending on how the game was created. I’m an RPG gamer, not an FPS gamer, not a fighting gamer (anymore). TO me it seems a no-brainer to have an RPG on a device like this, so I fired a couple up.

Gailardia is basically a Dragon Quest/Warrior rip-off, down to the core. Maybe that’s why I love it so much. It works perfectly with the XP.

Zenonia is basically a hybrid of Secret of Mana and Tales of Destiny. Not a bad game, not overly advanced, but it has charm to it and it’s price is quite right (less than a buck for each episode). Doesn’t work well with the XP’s controls; there are times you will press a direction key and nothing will happen, or he’ll be walking and then suddenly stop for no clear reason. Or certain buttons won’t respond. You also can’t navigate 100% of the menu using the physical buttons, forcing you to revert to touch.

Symphony of Eternity is the one with the most potential, think Final Fantasy 1 rip-off with superior graphics. Took a long time to get to control, but then I noticed that buttons only worked outside of battle. In battle I was forced to use the touch screen, defeating the purpose.

It is this inconsistency of support (let’s call it gaming fragmentation) that really hurts the overall experience. I know that the game developer must write the game to map to the physical controls in order to make them work, and a lot of these games were in existence prior to the Xperia Play, but certainly there must be some sort of compatibility mode that is available to make it work better. The only other alternative is to download specially written APKs that allow you to play some of these games directly with the Xperia Play, or be charged again by Sony to play their versions which are already written for it.

It might seem like I’m down on the device, in truth I’m rather disappointed, but it’s not the device’s fault. Rather, I feel that something like this should have come out a lot earlier in the development cycle for Android, such that game developers would have felt inclined to write specifically for it, and then maybe it would have more appeal. I also feel that this is really what the PSP Go was meant to be from the start, but obviously that plan fell through. I don’t know now what the future holds for the XP…my guess is that it will be relegated to the same fate eventually that the N-Gage ended up in. It’s hard to recommend the XP over other devices even if you’re a gamer because of the aforementioned fragmentation. It’s not a bad device, it’s just not a great one.
